The Desperate Need for Open Thinking
Society has begun to lose its grip on what matters most: the ability to think. Though the root cause is by no means malicious, we have started to reward speed over quality, distractedness over focus, and action over reflection—and the negative effects suffered in people’s personal and professional lives are beginning to add up. This predicament ought to be a wake-up call for the learning profession and its effect on employees. A return to balance between three components of productive thought—creative thinking, critical thinking, and applied thinking—is needed. How can we ensure employees are practicing open thinking? Find out as a former chief learning officer discusses this important topic. Dream, decide, do, repeat.

Amplify Your Engagement
Does your organization want people who put in only just enough to get the job done? Or people who rock at their jobs, are excited to be there, lose themselves in their work, and unleash their creativity and potential? What will it take? And what about you? How do you position yourself to do the work you love to do, have the impact you are looking to have, and feel truly connected to your work?
In this session, we’ll focus on both! We’ll explore workplace culture and the tweaks we can make to create an environment people want to be from. We’ll learn from organizations that are known for being a great place to work and implement ideas to help your organization, through everyone’s involvement, get to that next level. We’ll also identify ways individuals can change their approach to show up motivated and happy and do work that matters. And we’ll have an awesome time doing it!
